On Wednesday September 13th Creeting St Mary women’s institute talk was on Commonwealth war graves

An interesting talk on how the war graves are looked after, there are 23,000 locations in 150 countries in every time zone. We learnt about the different materials used for the gravestones along with the different flowers used, and the different challenges that are faced with the changing weather patterns and pollution and finding a way of striking a balance between the effects of aging, caring for the environment and materials used to ensure longevity of the estates.

A fun night playing Beetle Drive, the overall winner of the event was Chris Bingley, who had a top score of 42! Well done, Chris.
